So, for anyone that doesn’t know, Turbonegro is my favorite band. I am a member of something called the Turbojugend, which is an international fan club based around the band.
Suffice to say, I was effing excited to hear they were coming to Chicago. I have friends in the jugend chapters here, and I was looking forward to finally meeting one in particular, Matt. Matt follows this goofy ass Tumblr of mine. Matt rules.
Unfortunately for Matt (and Efrain!) the venue for the show got switched, so the show was no longer an all ages thing. So our underage Jugend members couldn’t come. I was hella bummed about that. Not being left out is a big deal to me. I am left out of a lot of things. As a woman, as a person with a disability and as a person with no family to speak of. So I get bummed when people have to be left out. I knew they were feeling that way.
So I decided to print their fucking faces up and bring them with us to party and rock out. Clearly, the boys had a great time. It’s a shame they couldn’t come in person, but I’m glad I was able to tag them in a few photos and get people to party with them. <3
